Terms and conditions

We normally prepare in-stock items for dispatch within 2–4 processing days after payment has been received. Our processing days are Tuesday to Friday, excluding public holidays. Allow an estimated further 2–3 business days for transport within Switzerland, Monday to Friday excluding public holidays. These are estimated delivery times; a binding delivery date requires an explicit agreement with you. We will notify you of foreseeable delays. For special orders and unusual transport requirements, we agree the timing before you order.

For invoice or advance-payment orders, dispatch preparation starts only after payment has been confirmed. The time until you transfer the payment and it reaches us is additional to the stated shipping time. We announce store holidays and changes to delivery times before you order.

Shipping and packaging within Switzerland cost CHF 19 per item priced below CHF 150, otherwise CHF 49 per item. Charges are added together for multiple items. The cart shows the total charges before you order. Collection in Baden is free.

For deliveries within Switzerland, there is no general right to return or exchange non-defective items. For instruments, please make use of our advice and the opportunity to try them in store where possible. A voluntary return or exchange can be agreed in writing in advance on a case-by-case basis. We also agree the condition, deadline and costs. Your rights concerning defective goods remain unaffected. Please contact us promptly about a defect or transport damage so that we can agree the next steps together.

Offers in the shop are a curated selection with the option to enquire or purchase. For high-value instruments, availability, condition and final handover are confirmed personally.

Prices are stated in Swiss francs. Errors, prior sale and obvious data-entry mistakes are reserved.

For delivery countries available at checkout, shipping and packaging are shown before the order is placed and added to the total price. Collection in Baden is free. Shipments that cannot be calculated automatically require an enquiry first.

For deliveries to the USA, the displayed total includes a fixed allowance for expected import costs. Musicalbox arranges shipment with duties charged to the sender and bears any difference between that allowance and the actual charges; no additional shipping or customs charges will be requested for the same order. In other countries, import duties, taxes and handling fees may be payable by the recipient. Deliverability, origin and any import restrictions are checked before dispatch; if the agreed delivery is not possible, any payment already made will be refunded.

Reservations, workshop jobs and lesson appointments become binding only once Musicalbox has personally confirmed them.

The effort, cost and time required for workshop work depend on the instrument after inspection. Musicalbox provides an assessment before carrying out further work.

For international deliveries, applicable mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected. Please contact us before ordering about the terms for your country.
